The Flying Fig is a very busy place. It does take bookings however it is on our commute and twice my wife and I have been able, on the spur of the moment, walk in and after a brief and flawlessly managed wait, enjoy a fabulous meal. The service is attentive and friendly. The wine list is interesting and the food is distinctive- is super fresh and tastes delicious. Described by some a as New York style Deli, it reminds me of some wonderful lunches I enjoyed in places like Florence Kahn in the Parisian Jewish Quarter, Le Marais and St Gervias district. The coffee is great too

My partner and I found this gem last Sunday. The place was packed, but the friendly staff sat us at the counter for a few minutes while a table became available. The food is New York style Jewish and it is amazing. I had the Ruben that was generous in size and full on in flavour, my partner had the Labke and she said it was amazing. Very reasonably priced, very attentive service 10/10.

The is a reason the place is always filled with people - the food choices are fresh, delicious, generous in portion, a value for the money, and the staff

Really like Flying Fig, it has its own style and definitely feels like a hip corner store away from the main North Adelaide strip.
