This pub is known because the inklings (Tolkien, CS Lewis and GK Chesterton) meet here and organize their weekly writing work. It's about 10 minutes walk from campus, easy. As a pub, there are many tables and we had no problems sitting. This is a Nicholsons pub, so if you like their usual fare, you will like the food here. You also have a special cake menu. The lentil and sweet potato cakes were fantastic!

what a really beautiful and intimate place to hang with friends. this is a must for tourist. they will find small secrets everywhere and it is often visited by students of the oxford university ps: pims and limonade all the way!
