Went here with my family when we were staying at the hotel next door. The menu is very competitive to the other local cafes in the area. I ordered a juice and asked for just orange and they had completely run out which was very disappointing. However I ordered a detox type juice instead and it was enjoyable. My other family members ordered breakfast, and I wasn't too impressed with what arrived. The corn fritters were doughy and other meals didn't look that impressive. The building used to be a take away fish and chip place and it still has a part of that feel. With the tiled floors and a fair few flies buzzing around it didn't feel as inviting as it seemed. However the furnishings attempted to soften the surrounds and create a welcoming atmosphere. This place would be perfect for a quick cup of coffee overlooking the river.
We had breakfast here one morning and weren't disappointed. The food is varied with interesting twists on cafe staples which make it stand out from the crowd. The range of smoothies and juices were excellent, the cleansing juice was fantastic! The coffee was great, we'd definitely be back if we are in the area again.
Had lunch here today. On a wild and windy day it was very pleasant to sit with a blanket on my knees and enjoy lunch. The nachos was very tasty, friends had pumpkin patch and vegie quiche which both looked yum. Excellent coffee and friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended.
Appletree has been gone for about 12 months, BUT, it's been replaced with an even BETTER Coffee/Cafe called "The Native Catering Co" serving Campos Coffee, my absolute favorite coffee, full of flavour
