I personally have been eating here for years. Its a toss up between 3-4 stars. Minimum chips (fries) is a good serving for 2 people. I gave a 3 because not as good as it used to be. Burgers are a good size though I have noticed the patties have gotten thinner than they used to be. The actual burger is good and tasty, but again not as good as it used to be. I have had pretty much everything have had everything on their menu except the cheese covered fries, which I think is a young guys dish, not for me.I love eating mine with beetroot, pineapple and a fried egg. This place is a hole in the wall, open very late, dealing with drunks and non drunks so they deal with all sorts. You walk up to the counter, order your meal, pay and wait. NO FRILLS...Place seems clean. When I was growing up here we used to call this the red and white because there is another burger place two doors down and their colors are blue and white so we called that one, you guessed it, "the Blue and White". Some say one is better than the other. But when I travel back home I try both and they are burgers.....Check it out yourself. You can end up spending $$$. Minimum chips is about $5-6. I cant believe I didn't get a pic of the burger but I did post the minimum chips...

So having been in Darwin for the last few years, and finding myself back in Adelaide for a couple of weeks, I thought I would refresh my love affair with AB packs (or as the crazy other parts of Australia are calling them HSPs). It was a toss up between this place and the Blue and White cafe as recommended by a mate (and only 30 odd meters up the road). Well the "Red and White" won - because it had pinball machines and deep fried mars bars on the menu. I wanted to be able to have a couple of beers with it and not worry about driving, so I opted for a takeaway lamb AB pack. Took it home and cracked it open. Chips were good, sauce was OK, meat was pretty plentiful, but it was a little on the dry and overcooked side - maybe easily done because the pieces were all quite small. Overall - not bad, but I don't think it was worth all the hype around it. Will shop around and keep looking for the perfect lamb AB. Oh, and I forgot to order the mars bar - Doh!

Probably one of favourite late night, lunch or afternoon yiros and AB places in North Adelaide, good fresh wraps that are perfectly cooked, fluffy and crispy at the same time! This place could probably do with a bit of a facelift, but I suppose that is part of the charm, hasn’t changed in years! Friendly service and just good takeaway food. I do love the fact that you can still play on a pinball machine whilst you are waiting for that drippy lamby goodness!! Finger licking yum!

Nostalgias Paradise. This business which I found out is about 70 yrs old takes you back to how fast food used to be. Quality, quality, substsnce and real ingredients. It took me back and I know how much better people had this type of food 'back in the day' including personal service.
