Lotus restaurant was close to where we were staying, the previous day we had noticed many diners in the restaurant so decided the food must be good and worth dining there.The staff welcomed us and very quickly brought water and menus. The wait staff were professional and well mannered. Drinks and meals were brought quickly to the table. Observing service to other tables, care was taken when sizzling dishes were served.The owner Wendy moved among the tables talking to all diners, which was impressive.The dim sum were home made and very tasty. Our other meals orange sauce duck and squid were also well presented and tasty.
In a nutshell we selected a take away on the night. The experience was pleasant due the cordial and welcoming greeting. The service was prompt and the meal was tasty and delicious. The food ingredients combination made for an enjoyable meal . We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to diners who are staying in the area of Walkerville. It certainly gave the Adelaide CBD eatery’s a run for their money. Well done to all at Lotus
We went twice during our November trip to Adelaide. We loved the interchange with the owner, Wendy, and learning about her escape from Vietnam by boat and her building of the resaurant business.Just as importantly, we loved the cooking and the willingness to add extra ingredients according to our tastes. The wine list was good and reasonably priced.The restaurant is wheelchair friendly.
Located in a well known street with multi restaurants, shop etc.Has excellent parking behind restaurant. Decor inside is average but homely. Staff is family orientated and will treat you like one. Food is tasty, well proportioned.We tried the banquet menu but had to take home 2x courses due to the generosity of the serving
