"We've just enjoyed a meal in this lovely little restaurant, booked for us very kindly by our host at a b&b in the nearby village of Lusigny-sur-Ouche, La Saura. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, freshly cooked, served with a smile, & had nice atmosphere in unpretentious surroundings. If we were staying here longer we'd definitely go again! Parking is in lay-bys along either side of the road, didn't cause any problems at all."

Having read a couple of less than positive reviews, we decided nevertheless to try out La Bouzerotte ourselves and we were actually very pleased with what we found. Having dined at a number of prestigious restaurants in Burgundy during our holiday, for our last night we were looking for something simpler ... and also cheaper. And La Bouzerotte fitted the bill.We were charmingly welcomed and enjoyed a nice, freshly prepared meal at a very reasonable price. We believe that this is a family run establishment so it's quite reasonable for the kitchen to close mid way through the evening if it's a quiet night. One minor complaint: it is not possible to buy wine by the glass and we didn't really want a whole bottle but I can understand that perhaps in a small place such as this it simply wouldn't be worthwhile opening a bottle and then only selling 2 glasses, It should also be borne in mind that Google sites the restaurant on rue de la Mairie but if you park in rue de la Mairie rather than on the main road you have to go down some steps to get to the restaurant which are not that easy to find!

I guess the fact that I have been to this restaurant 20+ times is evidence that I enjoy the food, environment and the owners. From the moment you walk in the place, you are welcomed with a smile and warmth by Christine, the owner. This happened literally from the first time I visited. The food here is amazing. Consistently, the food is amongst the best I have ever eaten. The deserts are so worth it. The combination of flavors and combination of options is perfect. The menu changes with the seasons and you will find great options each time you visit. Oliver's knowledge of wine is incredible. The suggestions he makes for the paring of foods is perfect. He has even suggested various vineyards to visit while I have been there. I have had several friends from around the world come and have dinner and lunch with me here. Never has anyone left unhappy.

This is the type of restaurant one only dreams of patronizing in France. Yes, it is several kilometers outside of Beaune, but it is well worth the trip. I and a French friend were there for lunch. We dined outside on a sunny weekday. The choice of food was excellent. The family that operates the restaurant could not have been friendlier and the service was good. The taste of the food was....well...perfectly french -- accompanied by the proper Burgundy wine with each course. I had a salad with truffles, my friend a soup to start. I had the lamb, my friend had the duck. We had a home-made ice cream for dessert. Several other clients --- all French; mostly locals --- arrived at 1300 hours and ate indoors. The prices were reasonable and the food well worth making a detour for. Bon appetit!

This small, family-run restaurant just outside Beaune is a local treasure. In summer the service is on the sheltered terrasse, in winter inside by the fire. From the welcome from Christine and Olivier to the last memorable mouthful it is a pleasure to be there. The food is sublime, not over-produced, just prepared with serious attention. The night we went the pate was more flavoursome than any other encountered in France, the veal and mushrooms tender and delicious the apricot tart a perfect finish. Wine matchings perfect. The locals know this place well and it sticks in the mind. My first visit about 10 years ago and every time I go to Beaune I long to return.
