I visited here with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience (once we found it!). Tucked away in a corner, the decor is creative and artistic, with plenty of artwork and jewellery on display (bonus points for showcasing local artists!). The menu is great with lots of enticing options, and staff were very flexible with dietary requirements. I had a juice served in a cute glass bottle and the flavours were fantastic. The staff were wonderful and had a long chat to us about the coffee and produce used. Pricing is fairly standard for a local groovy cafe - nothing out of the ordinary.

E for Ethel is definitely a hidden gem! Tucked away off Melbourne street this quirky cafe is quick becoming a firm favourite. The outside seating area proves a little sun trap whilst the inside is warm and welcoming. Staff are super friendly, the food is always served very promptly and is of a high standard. My favourite has to be that all coffee is served with a freckle!! Would highly recommend any to check it out. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, relaxed and very family friendly. Thanks E for Ethel, we shall return!

Recently enjoyed breakfast at E for Ethel. It is hidden at the back of a block of shops and can easily be missed. Please take the time to locate it and enjoy friendly service, great food surrounded by a quirky and vibrant atmosphere. I enjoyed the beautiful mushrooms on rye toast and my husband enjoyed the haloumi and egg on rye - both very generous serves and yummy. The coffees and teas were enjoyed were also top notch.

Tucked away in a quite unprepossessing undercroft Ethel is a lovely place - the soup special for lunch with excellent bread is the perfect antidote to a cold winter's day.
