I have been to multiple top 10 BBQ spots in Texas (according to the Texas Monthly magazine annual top 100 list), so I always find myself comparing BBQ restaurants to those. I would say this place is 70% as good as Snows or Franklins. The sausage, ribs, and brisket were all solid. Nothing to write home about, but definitely still very tasty. Out of the three, we enjoyed the sausage the most. Both the beef and pork and the jalapeño cheese sausages had great flavor, juicy, and had a nice snap of the casing. The ribs were our second favorite. The ribs were fall off the bone and slightly spicier than traditional ribs. Brisket was ok, but on the drier side. We got the mac and cheese and potato salad as sides, and we really enjoyed the potato salad--it had a taste of sour cream and onion potato chips.Overall, great experience!! our server was very nice!!
Flavor is good, but sadly the meat is dangerously oversalted. Additionally, I got the meidas touch and after 24 hours am now fighting some foodborne pathogen that I'm certain was from this sandwich. Please try and maintain safe food holding temperatures as this sandwich was certainly not hot. Especially the mac on top, it was tepid at best. Also this sandwich came with onions which were absolutely rancid. Even under hot chopped beef an onion slice should not be flaccid and sour tasting. Do better
food was ok. i've had better but i'm not complaining. whiskey sour was better. i have nothing to compare it to. my first and only whiskey sour. didn't think i would like it but someone ordered it for me. i didn't wanna be rude. so i drank it. lol will be back if only for a drink.Food: 4/5
The food was fantastic. We came in on a Sunday for lunch. The jalapeño cheese sausage was amazing. The brisket was also very good. The waiter was on top of it and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Definitely going to try it again
