4/2022-Food is amazing but prices have gone up including tips are now expected. 2/2020-They really exceeded my expectations! They're really authentic including the taste. The samples of tea were really appreciated and we even up ordering the hojicha roasted green tea) which came with a free order of matcha warabi mochi $5 value lined time) which both were very delicious! We also ordered the tonkatsu set $20) and was excellent! Really appreciated all the little details like the metal rack the tonkatsu rested to maintain crispiness. The rice and red seasoning was very good. All this is confirmed from a native Japanese person. Highly recommended and we'll be back to try additional meals. PS. There's a no tipping policy just like in Japan! ?????

We ate here the other day. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly and nice. My son had a bad day. He's very tired, so he caused a mess. Then the staff set the robot to carry a cup of water to my son. He was amazed and had an interest in the robot immediately. That's just nice.

Yayoi has one of the best tonkatsu rays I had in a long time. The broth was really full of taste and pig. The salmon shark I had a lot of fresh and tasty. If I'm in San Mateo, it's a point to consider.

The food is still good, but they do not give as many secondary dishes as before. That with a change in their pricing policy (used to not tap), this is far too expensive for what it is.
