We went to Restaurant Waid for Mother's Day this year and last year. Last year we sat on the beautiful terrace in glorious sunshine. Everything was tip top. We were even more disappointed this year (2022). We made reservations early again and got a place in a room that was probably opened because of the big rush, right next to the balcony door (lots of draft). As an alternative, we got a table practically at the back of this room where there was no view at all. The noise level throughout the room was almost unbearable. However, the food was very good, but there were relatively long waiting times. The service was also very courteous. Unfortunately, the impression arose that they wanted to make as much revenue as possible at the expense of the guests, which is why they were only able to reserve at either 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. so that they could do two services. It's a shame for next Mother's Day we will choose a different address where the guest is still king. After all, we traveled 3 hours from abroad.

I am very enthusiastic about the very fine cheese slices, a dream and the very friendly landlady would like to say hello to Oskar and Lilly Hürlimann again

The best cheese slices and cheese slice platters far and wide. Always worth a visit.
