Having had excellent food and service here numerous times over a number of years, we opted to book The View for our recent wedding. The food and service were excellent as always! The pre planning was excellent with good communication from the team. On the day, the front of house team were excellent professional and accommodating but also very warm! The food was once again exceptional and all guests confirmed this! We had a large table and the food was prepared and served smoothly, with no delays like you sometimes get with large groups. All of the food was delicious but the black pudding bon bons, haggis fritters, venison, and sticky toffee pudding were notably popular with our guests! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks to all the team.
Truly one of the best places on Tayside for both an evening or lunchtime meal. As they say on their website, they don't overcomplicate the dishes, often with a local or Scottish aspect and provenance. A very pleasant decor for a medium size dining room with good acoustics so you can hold a conversation with your dining partners. Pleasant attentive staff are quiet and keep everything moving at whatever pace you need. The menu is short but there is something for everyone.
We popped in for coffee/cake but then decided to have breakfast/ brunch instead. Fantastic place, friendly staff and delicious food. The view was not the best as it was a misty day but that didn't detract from our visit. Will definitely visit again.
We decided to take a family member out to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing, well presented and thoroughly enjoyable. The wait staff were friendly and very efficient. It was great to see a local restaurant so busy on a Saturday evening.
