I was looking for a place to have a meal and drinks with friends when I saw this pub at the end of a side street. freshly decorated, stood out and a short view through the window confirmed a large selection of beating, while the menu on the wall had published some interesting decisions, not the usual repetitive bought in pub food. three women who passed by, as I saw, said it was the best pub in chichester. they were not wrong, it's just one of the best pubs I've been lately and not just in chichester. eating was really fabulous; I had the whitebait, made to house kedgeree, and made to house eis, everything really delicious. the selection included fuller’s, gales hsb dark star and the personal was very helpful. I would give this place 6 stars if it were possible, it was fantastic; just the gold standard, how to leave a pandemic at the top of their game.

what a fantastic little tavern to lunch. I had steak with pfeffer sauce and chips, and a glass of American palate. I ordered my steak to cook medium, the chef made a fantastic work cooking the steak, and the pfeffer sauce was so delicious. the meal was noticeable, the ale very nice with a background note of zitrus, almost like a jam, and surprisingly it had a bit of a kick to him. the renter really beautiful chap and the general ambiente this tavern was just perfect. I would recommend this as a place to visit. I would mark this tavern 10 out of 10.

Whilst I know the pub, we'd never been to a function here, but chose it for the wake of my late Grandfather. The staff were superb, the catering beautiful and plentiful, and occasionally bar staff would appear like magic with extra chips for us all (my family enjoy a drink and these were very welcome). Gorgeous rooms, and the boogley eyes are a stroke of genius...
