we booked a table for dinner in jam house at 21:45. the band started at 10:30 o'clock. when we finished our dinner, we bought a drink up there and stood on the balcony to watch the band as our table was far away from the balcony area and could not watch the show. all stood up, no one ate. a waiter came to us and told us to move out of the balcony, as he said, we had not paid a 5 pound supplement.! I've never seen this before when I made the book to dinner, and I never told you about it. therefore. must they pay 5 pounds to stand on the balcony to watch the band in the jam house?! I could understand that if the people still eat and watch the show from their tables, but everyone was standing up and dancing around. I asked this waiter, someone complained about us to stand there, and he said no, but they can do it. totally ridiculous and also embarrassing and he got our attention before some people. also the food was plump and expensive. Don't eat them. band saved the night, they were very good.
I was part of a party of 20 for a Christmas do. I must state that the event was on a Monday night, so my view may be tainted as a Monday night probably wasn’t the best choice. The food was a 3 course Christmas...fair which was served hot and generally good. We had an early sitting in the hope that the live RnB band would come on at about 8pm. Sadly it didn’t and the warm up band wasn’t the most exhilarating music. The main band came on around 10, but unfortunately, in my opinion, it was equally dull and the atmosphere was flat. I would like to try the venue again at a weekend, as I am sure the atmosphere would be better.
12 of us went for my birthday. Food was amazing and the staff were exceptional.....everything ran like clockwork and everyone enjoyed their meals. As we had a table booked at 8.45pm we were able to have the table for the night. Therefore we could watch...the band from there and also go up and down the stairs to go for a dance. Band was amazing as was the guy on piano and all the music basically. Can't thank the staff enough including bouncers who were lovely too. Thank you for making my birthday so special xx
Friday night out my friend and i. Vibrant atmosphere, this place has still got it. Earlier call in the afternoon to say due to cancellation we could be seated earlier than booked if we desired Excellent service and good food with a most pleasant waitress...Miriam who kept us amused bless her. Large party group did not effect the service delivered to us. Did have to ask for a correct bill with vat number witch was done on request. Many thanks to all.
