It was Sunday Roast day but they had an issue with their fryer so couldn’t do anything fried at all. However, I was very disappointed with the roast dinner after having looked forward to it a lot. The Brussel sprout appetizer was luke warm at best....a couple of the sprouts were stone cold. I didn’t say anything as I assumed the fryer issue gave them enough grief. The Roast Lamb dinner....the lamb was totally bland, as were the mashed potatoes. The roast potatoes were beyond crispy...they were solid. My wife had the bangers and mash ....the sausages were tough.....the skin on the bangers, which should be crispy, was like leather. They did the right thing and took that off the bill and she had a sandwich instead. Overall, I know losing the fryer threw them for a loop but that didn’t impact the rest of the stuff. Big disappointment.

to get good British food? This little restaurant nestled in Haddonfield, NJ has all the British favorites you could want. We started our meal with the Mac n' cheese, it was melt in your mouth delicious. Our son had his favorite, Fish n' Chips. He said it's the best he's ever had...crispy, not soggy. My husband tried something he never had before, Bangers n' Mash. It was quite tasty and a definite repeat. I had the Cottage Pie and wasn't disappointed. I am used to the Americanized Shepard's Pie and was delighted to finally try the real thing, which was fantastic. The selection of drinks was true to the food style with beverages from all over the United Kingdom. The waitress was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated.

We had very good things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The food itself was quite good, especially the chips. The service was absolutely awful and we were never even asked about getting any drinks. The value for the food was actually fine, but it was an overall poor experience for our first time at this restaurant. Perhaps what made it most disappointing was that the restaurant was not crowded at all, so there was not any excuse for this service. My guess is that we will not return to this restaurant.

I wrote an unfavorable review a few years ago, but decided to try it again with the new owners and was pleasantly surprised. Service was slow, but the food was great. We both opted for the Cottage Pie which was excellent. We visited on a busy Friday night before Christmas, which probably explains the service being slow, but the floor was well managed and everyone was pleasant. $3.00 for the can of soda seemed steep, but it was a different flavor than we get in the U.S., and worth trying at least once.
