The Little Hen - Table reservation

My husband and I made a last minute reservation to this restaurant that was well rated on OpenTable. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, knowledgeable, made suggestions and gave her opinion when asked a true professional.We started with a cheese plate, which normally I would not try, but I was pleasantly surprised! The different cheeses were served with a grainy mustard, a blueberryblackberry jam, and a bit of real honeycomb. For our main entree, I had the Chicken Provençal which was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had forgotten how moist a chicken can be if prepared correctly. It was a sizable portion which gave me the opportunity to have it again the next day. My husband had the Duck Pomme Frites. He cleaned his plate and asked for the crumbs to go. LolFor dessert, I had a ginger infused poached pear over a delicious cream. Although the pear could have been a tad riper, the taste was amazing. My husband had a Pot de Creme and did not share a bite of it! We took home the third dessert offered, a slice of cake made from crepes yummy.Minus the time during COVID, this was an overall best meal we have had in a long time. We will go back

Best restaurant in the area! We have tried almost everything on the menu but we have several must have favorites. The Assiette De Fromages "the cheese tray." It is usually served with types of cheese, whole grain mustard, honey comb, amazing fresh homemade jam and sliced fresh French bread. The chicken liver mousse: It's very authentic French, creamy and incredible!!! The Duck confit is the best around. We love this place!! On occasion the owner will make homemade ice cream. All I can say is it's soooo good. When available, we have tried to buy a few quarts but there is usually a limit and often sold out

The Little Hen does the best that it can having to deal with outside seating due to Covid. Located on a corner, a diner has to accept traffic stopping at the traffic light people walking near your table some with masks some not. My wife I dealt with it at our table with an overhead umbrella that shielded my wife from the hot summer sun but not so much me. Our food made up for that our server was outstanding. This is nice change up to other restaurants in Haddonfield the area. The French menu is well executed this restaurant deserves to be well supported

The food is a on a point scale. Each dish is unique and awakens your taste buds with all the different flavors blended perfectly. We did have to eat outside so there was traffic noise, but it’s worth it to experience their menu
