"A great casual dining venue. I've been to Schnithouse about 5 times now. The food has always been good and the service as well. Even better is it's affordable eating and drinking on the sometimes pretentious Norwood Parade."

crazy funny story! Booked a table many months ago for breakfast. When we arrived, it was sort of closed. By this I mean a cleaner was mopping the floor and said the chef hadn't shown up, so there was no meals.....? Went to Cafe Bravo a couple of doors up instead. When I placed a review on Facebook about this experience, we received a sorry message from the manager explaining there was a mix up or something with staff. He politely sent us a voucher for a free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. Funny this morning we went to use our voucher after booking a table last week. Guess what? it was closed again. sign on the door says "open everyday" It seems even you book for 830am breakfast it doesn't guarantee they will be to open from 8am as the door says. Cafe Bravo for breakfast yet again.

Located near Osmond Tce end of the Parade in a large character filled building. We ate early so very quiet in the restaurant. Very enjoyable meal and we were using a scoopon voucher. Wednesday is half price wings all day and they have a great range of wings. All the wings meals come with a side of fries too! Their menu actually surprised me as it was very broad including pizza, salad, burgers and of course, schnitzel with all sorts of toppings and sauces. The prices are reasonable and comparable to local cafes and pubs. I think some cafes have a little more ambience but the food was good and there was outdoor seating which in warmer weather would be great. Definitely worth a visit and I'll return, if not to try another menu item, definitely for more wings on half price day !!!

First time to Schnithouse so wasn't sure what to expect. Walked through entrance and amazed by building inside. Unfortunately no direction as to whether you could sit anywhere or whether you needed to wait and be shown to table. Asked at counter once a staff member became free and was told to sit anywhere, given menus and told to order at counter when ready. Menu was quite extensive and meal was good, but staff/service wasn't that great. They also weren't that well presented (dress wise, quite daggy), and didn't make us feel welcome. A better, friendlier welcome/greeting would have made the experience nicer. Been there, done that..don't think would return.

We visited for a sneaky little bite to eat. Plenty of seats available, the menu is pretty extensive. There is a taste and and schnitzel for everyone. There is a Munich Beer Hall feel to the place. You will not be disappointed!
