"I think their brick and mortar is closed which is a bummer but look out for them at events! These vegan nachos are to die for! $14 but worth every penny! The meat is mushroom based and so tasty (coming from someone who HATES mushrooms). Honestly it 's just pure vegan magic for everyone. Thank you for blessing us with this gift of food!"

I've tried Rutabagas a few times now and, as an omnivorous food lover, I haven't been let down yet. Their regular menu is where they shine. I had a bit of a weird experience with the brunch I tried, not enough to put me off at all, but enough that I prefer their dinner. The portions are HUGE, everything is very flavorful and fresh, and I think their faux-meats are really close substitutions. Plus their ranch might be my new favorite anywhere? It's hard to make a good vegan ranch but theirs is awesome. My only complaint is this: everything they make is a little too sweet. I'm the type to add sugar to my spaghetti sauce so I'm no stranger to the appeal of sweet-and-savory but they go slightly overboard. I don't know if it's a particular quality of their ingredients or if it's added sugar but after a whole meal it's a lot to take in what would otherwise be truly, truly excellent food.

First time eating here and wish I'd come a lot sooner! I chose the Buddha bowl with tempeh added for extra protein. Lots of food I ate half and took half home for leftovers the next day. First time having tempeh and I am now a big fan of the texture and it had a great marinade on it. I love quinoa and it was cooked perfectly with the roasted sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. The fresh kale was wilted by the other items perfectly and the sauce on the side was great so I could just add small amounts. My friend got the patty mel with tots and it looks delicious as well. Highly recommend!

The food was decent, flavorful and freshly prepared although a bit salty. The chef was great, friendly, welcoming and warm. The guy that was the cashier was not suited for a customer service position, at least not the day that I went in. I know everyone is more stressed and businesses have a challenging time finding employees, Not eager to help, poor attitude and overall grumpy cat. I was the only one in the restaurant, so it wasn't that the place was overly busy. LEt's just say I wish there were more veg options in the states.

This place has such delicious, fresh, vegan food that even the carnivore in your life will love it. They craft absolutely gorgeous plates of flavorful, aesthetically pleasing food. I highly recommend Rutabagas for the food, ambiance, and service. Plants rule and this place celebrates that. Scrumptious. Hungry in Lincoln? Get thee to Rutabagas.
