We have been to the Pymble Hotel several times over the years, normally after a trip to Sydney from Newcastle, we might stop for lunch. This time, there was an unusual odour in the lobby, but its an old pub with old plumbing possibly.Once the The View Bar however, the smell of the wood burner, even though off on a warmish day, takes its place and makes one think of a nice winter evening. This trip i had a Steak and Guiness Pot Pie with Mash and peas....and it was absolutely delicious! Only regret that was I didn't order two!Husband had fish, chips and salad. There were three good portions of fish, nice chips and salad. We also had a herb bread, which was perfect.Drinks were a bit expensive, but as we were driving home, we only had one each anyways.I will be back....save me a pot pie though!!!

Mum and I are regular Tuesday night diners at the Pymble Hotel restaurant. Some of the most enjoyable tucker you will find in a pub or stand alone restaurant. This week I had one of the specials.. Half lobster thermador & a steak, chips and salad for $27. Both seafood and meat were excellent. Mum had here usual steak. A number of different food styles and specials. Great food. Great value. Friendly staff. Tuesdays are quiet. Wednesdays is their trivia night. Highly recommended.

Out the back there are sofas and tables and you can watch sport while eating your dinner. Ok food, lamb shanks is pretty good as is the fish and chips. Front bar is pretty small and crowded with tables, pool table, decent craft beer on tap with a weekly/monthly special. Good little bottle shop. Whole place is nothing flashy just an honest suburban pub.

Nice an quiet pub. Nice service, good beer, good food. There it's a small parking lot by the front door, but out often is full. No worries: drive past the hotel and you will find a larger free parking area there, entering through a back door
