Mid-week dinner with 6 friends was excellent evening with all happy with their individual choices: Tempura prawns, Bento box, chilli soft-shell crab (different for Japanese restaurant, but very good and pushes limit of heat for many), Teriyaki grilled salmon, fried rice...all good.BYO catered for and water continuously refreshed without requesting.
OK, the menu is typically Japanese - sushi, tempura etc ... but they do really good things with it. Not typical but very flavoursome and the presentation cannot be faulted.This could be our new go to local restaurant --- BYO and great food. The service was great as well.What more could you want?
Unusual location for dinner restaurant, but refreshing, with option for dinning on open terrace with NO traffic noise! Interesting menu with plenty of variety.
I often go to Ikura for a quick lunch with colleague. The food is reasonably priced, good quality and good service.
