This is a real gem of a place, high quality gourmet-style food in good portions and a great selection of wines and dessert wines. They have their own fruit and veg patch and they even make their own mi-cuit foie gras which we had with...the in-season figs, drizzled with their family-grown olive oil, made with the smoother Arbequina olives. (They sell the bottle of oil for only 10 EUR). The seasonal salad with jamón de pato (duck cured slivers of ham) was truly superb and refreshing. We also had an amazing bottle of the distinctive nearby Priorat wine, chose especially by Anna, the owner and wife of the Head chef. We then had a perfectly cooked Angus beef Chuletón cut of meat: perfectly cooked medium rare, tender and wonderfully tasty. We paid an extra for this but it was worth it (they have a 30 EUR menu or an a la carte option). To top it off, we finished our meal with desserts and some 10 year tawny port on their terrace overlooking the old bridge on the banks of the river. The visit to the town was uneventful and rather disappointing due to the masses of tourists and curio shops. Thank goodness we happened upon this restaurant. It was truly worth it.
