Since visiting Vietnam a couple of years ago, this has been our regular pho fix venue of choice ever since. The flavour hit is spot on to what you would find from a city vendor in Ho Chi Minh City or local market hidden in the valley mountains of Sapa, and with the cheap eat price tag too. Hot Pho, spring or cold rolls, rice varieties and famous coffee with condensed milk, will satisfy each and every time. This stuff is the real deal, the bees knees, top notch gear. Get on it, you can thank us later!

I cannot fault the food that was served up at Pho Van. Soup was savoury and tasty, Pho cooked just right, perhaps the beef was slightly overcooked, and the fried spring roll was a little small, but I did enjoy the overall experience. I suspect the chillie sauce that was on the table to be quite old. Interestingly, they also offer chillie oil, which is more Cantonese than Vietnamese cuisine.

I am a regular to Vietnam and love the food, to find this place close to home is so good. The Pho is genuine and as in Vietnam that's about all they sell. The have spring rolls(forget them) and fried rice but these are not their specially. The setup is basic but no plastic chairs and table as Pho kitchens in Vietnam, so not a date night out.

Pros: A lot of good Pho restaurants around Melbourne but this one is just that little bit fresher and tastier. Food was fantastic, staff very friendly, very good value for money. The cons which are hardly even worth mentioning: the menu is a little limited and they don't provide complimentary tea like a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants.
