"During our wedding anniversary trip we came across Bar Nou Tarasso, but due to our dreadful Spanish were reluctant to ask advice on local activities and amenities until Sally, the lovely English waitress, helped us out as well as bringing us drinks and tapas. We had a thoroughly delightful couple of hours chilling out on the terrace looking over the stunning Vall de la Gallinera. Thanks Sal! :"

We have eaten at this restaurant 5 times now and have always had superb food. Chose the tapas menu which includes local specialities (such as Jabali wild boar) with portions that would shame eateries in the UK. Whether on the street, inside or on the rear terrace overlooking the Val de Gallinera the ambience is local, fun and friendly. Our last meal there (just last week) involved 12 tapas courses, 6 pints of Mahou, two soft drinks, two helados and a chocolate slice for pud, four coffees and three brandies all for less than a two courser with wine at our local gastro pub. All freshly cooked local food and served with a smile by Sally (on this occasion) whose knowledge of the valley (and how to find a plumber in an emergency) is boundless. Highly recommended

We chose Bar Nou Tarraso as trip advisor reviews recommended it. My first choice of main Venison stew wasn't available I chose the lamb in mushroom instead. There was 4 of us dining three starters arrived but they'd all finished theirs by the time mine arrived at least 20 mins. So I was slightly rushing mine. Then my main turned up straight away and waitress placed it beside me. the other 3 mains then turned up. My lamb was cold and gravy congealing by the time I ate it. They should have kept it warm in kitchen without me having to ask. Then when we came to pay the bill they don't take cards due to the charges we will remember that to take plenty of cash next time. Yes we will probably go again although quite a drive out, that was the idea.

We were encouraged by good TripAdvisor reviews and it lived up to their praise. Situated on the very edge of the village with stunning views over the valley, it is definitely worth making the trip. The menu is in English for those who don't speak the local dialect and Sally is herself English and happy to recommend. We enjoyed excellent tapas with a delightful wild boar stew and lamb in mushroom sauce as a main course. Friendly service with a genuine warm smile. A lively place popular with locals and passers-by. We'll be back.

The restaurant is run by a Spanish family and is very typical Spanish set in a traditional Spanish village. The tapas is excellent and the food is great as well as the atmosphere. The terrace has great views across the mountains. The restaurant provides local special of Jabali or wild boar which is very tasty and tender. Sally the English waitress is excellent and is really welcoming and is great with the children and translates all the recommendations into English. This restaurant is a must whenever we are in holiday!!!
