We were on holiday in Rottach Egern and came across the Mirch Masala Indian restaurant when we were on a bike ride to Tegernsee.. It was closed and opened at 5pm, the menu was varied and we decided to come back that evening, as we...are regulars at our local Indian at home the Maya in Poulton le . The restaurant was not busy being Thursday, it was spotlessly clean and décor was lovely, even the waiters were immaculately dressed and very helpful. Every dish we ordered was so tasty and the best dish was Beef Saag, by the time we had the poppadoms starters we could not finish the mains. They put them in a take away bag in separate compartments which normally at home they put everything together mixed up. The next day late afternoon we were feeling peckish and decided to pick at the left over curries, and even cold they tasted even better than the night before, German beer perfecto, and the wine was de vine, which had not been in other restaurants we had been to earlier in the week. If we had been staying longer we certainly would have gone back. 11 10. Pity you are not local.
We were rightly recommended this Restaurant by Alpen Club when we were looking for a good choice for Vegetarian options. Making a table reservation is always recommended. Opens till 11 pm. They were courteous enough on our second visit waiting for us even after closing...time when we requested in advance half hour before closing time. Served every choice dish so amazingly quick on our last dinner of the trip. Worth a visit for all those spending their holiday around.
I went there two times and I tried different dishes, all of them was very tasty and so delicious. The mixtures of spices they used are perfect and make the dish taste amazing. I strongly advice everyone to try it, I'm sure you are going...to like it.
The masala resembled contents of supermarket jar...not spicy despite attempts at negotiations...chewy lamb...one had to admit one goes to Tegernsee for the Bier...but there is another Curry outlet...Curry-Heute will continue the exploration...
