Ordered breakfast and politely asked (twice) for bacon to be well-done. The lady would not write this down, instead she asked "is there anything else?" So I asked "uh...is it ok to have that bacon cooked well?" (What I did not divulge was that this was a requirement because the meal was for a pregnant woman who couldn't risk having undercooked meat.)Her response? "No. Look we can't guarantee it." "You can't just cook a piece of bacon for a bit longer?""It depends what's going on in the kitchen at the time.""Right well just take the bacon off please." "Fine."Meals were served in BOWLS. So toast was on the bottom of a deep bowl, scrambled eggs on top, hash browns on top of that. No hard surface to cut anything on, and the EXCESSIVE liquid from the eggs made everything soggy. It was like bland, oily, egg soup. I had to sit the toast on my coffee saucer to spread butter on it, we struggled with the logistics, but it just seemed the height of ridiculousness to ask for a PLATE.So much egg, must have been 5 or 6 eggs in the scramble. Which I would have probably eaten if they had any flavour. Instead most of them went to waste. Way too many eggs used. A neat and tidy 2 egg scramble with a green garnish or some basic seasoning would have been much more professional. I feel like I went to a teenager's house for breakfast - because there were no guarantees on how it was going to be cooked, it was flavourless, and it was served in whatever crockery was available.
