I Went to the Marina for lunch with a few friends a few weeks ago. The restaurant/hotel is perfectly located right by the water. The food was as tasty as you would expect from a place like this, everything very fresh, incredibly tasty and of high quality. I can highly recommend the Bruschettone from the starters! I had fish as a main, which was incredible and all the other dishes that I tasted from my friends were just as good. My desert, a Tarte Tatin, was a visual highlight and just as tasty as it looked. They have a beautiful selection of wine and the service is on par with what you expect from Swiss luxury hospitality. I really appreciated the fact that they let one of their young trainees take our order, she did a wonderful job and it is great to see that they try to push their employees to learn! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ascona and wanting to have a great restaurant experience.
Unfortunately this restaurant could be much better if the service quality would meet the beautiful setting. One notices that the service staff is not properly managed by a Maitre D’ as they keep constantly running around without a true task, yet forgetting to serve the table properly. Food was mediocre. The Mezze was nothing special and incomparable to a true Lebanese restaurant. Veal chop milanese was not cooked properly and only returned once the other guests were already finished with their meal. It took the staff 10’ to clear the dishes, even though the restaurant was not full. A pity.
Fabulous. Great location, nice furniture, super service. Feels like you are in the Mediterranean. From the menu the Meze is great. There are daily specials but you need to ask. Even if you are a hotel guest you might need to reserve on sunny days.
This restaurant is located in a lovely corner of Lachen. customers can enjoy the lake views while dining and make the most of a summer evening. Food was well prepared and the beverages were also good.
