This little place doesn't look much from the outside, and shows some faded glory on the inside, but the varied menu enticed us in, as well as the menu price of 14€50. The service was attentive and friendly. The menu boasts that they don't offer fancy gourmet food, but honest home-cooked food made from fresh local ingredients. So it proved. Everything was tasty, well presented and in amounts that hit the spot, without feeling bloated in the middle of the day. It was encouraging that so many French people were enjoying the same menu as is. The starter I had was mille-feuille of beetroot and goats cheese. Layers of sliced beetroot and soft creamy goats cheese combined perfectly; served with lots of fresh salad. Main course I had blanquette de veau, soft veal with creamy rice and carrots. Dessert was a soft sponge with strawberries and a little chantilly. We had soft, delicious whole meal bread with the meal (very unusual) and a picher of very good local red wine. 4 of us had a 3-course meal with wine and soft drinks and no complaints for €76. It may be simple fair but also represents excellent value.

We were lucky enough to visit Jean-Christophe last Sunday for lunch, having not visited before. The restaurant is wonderfully traditional, with a great decor and interesting little rooms for dining as well as a main area - it's deceptive from the street as nothing would particularly make you stop, especially as there are another three excellent restaurants within 2 minutes walk of here. However, we were welcomed whole heartedly, and proudly shown around the interior, before selecting the Menu du Jour for EURO15 per person (three courses). The food was fantastic, original, not too fussy and just perfect for a good lunchtime meal.Jean-Christophe is an active local in the village, supporting and catering for occasional events, and rebuilding what I believe used to be his parents house and restaurant. It reopened in May 2016, and we wish him all the best. We will definitely return.

beautiful Italian restaurant with cheerful table service, great wine selection and recommendations. Fresh food and good fish menu. Beautiful street terrace and a beautiful interior of the converted winery, can eat in your own private kiss:
