La Placa - Table reservation

We enjoyed two beautiful days nights at La Placa in Madremanya. We received a very warm welcome to the hotel which was to commence a wonderful, relaxing stay. The hotel is lovely, very authentic old Catalan buildings, full of ambiance history. The garden pool area is also beautiful we loved the quiet pool lounge area. The restaurant is superb, beautiful Catalan cuisine, fine quality ingredients, generous serves excellent wine list. We enjoyed two lunches dinners in house they were all exceptional. The weather was warm we sat outside, enjoying the summer afternoons evenings the lovely view. W loved our stay hope to return in the future.

We went back here for a lunch having been a few years ago for dinner. I am pleased to report it remains a great restaurant well worth the country drive to find it. The menu oozes quality and do not be put off by the higher than normal prices because they have a really great team in the kitchen and you will feel you had great value when you leave! Their wine list and passion for Bisbal wines is very good. It was Sunday and the place was full with many locals enjoying the leisurely Sunday family lunch that is part of local culture. So good I think we must stay here next time we go to the area.

The foie gras is heavenly. Also the host is great at recommending the right wines. Make sure to try the regional red wines, they are outstanding.

We have visited this restaurant many times. Had the tasting menu and a la carte. Everything has been wonderful.

Friendly people lot of great choices lovely food the fish was fantastic . Very good wine choices
