Jethro’s ‘n Jakes Smokehouse Steaks

The restaurant is ok...Mike in the office is horrible. I called inquiring about my lost debit card and he in turn started raising his voice, then a low yelling, wanting to know who helped me when I called the first time, and on and on. He was pitiful. I was in tears by the time we hung up. He has EXTREMELY POOR communication, and honestly, I feel very sorry for every employee at the Altoona Jethro's. Mike creates an atmosphere of FEAR. Horrible customer service. I will never go there again. This kind of management atmosphere deserves a ZERO, poor, poor example. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5

Great BBQ joint... This particular location also has smoked steaks and prime rib. I had the prime rib, which was a good portion, tender and cooked perfectly! My issue was with the au jus it was sitting in. For my taste, au jus with prime rib should be beefy tasting and a little smokey. This was like maybe they added a little BBQ sauce or something that made it sweet. Others may enjoy it but it's not for me. The mac n cheese and baked beans were very good! My husband's tenderloin was wonderful! I'll be back, just not for prime rib.

The atmosphere is great and the service is also very good and pretty fast and there are a lot of options when it comes to the food and I’ve had a good amount of the things on there menu over the years and it’s all good would recommend

Very good service, very tasty fried chicken with that seasoning that makes your moment unforgettable Efficient service and a very welcoming, pleasant atmosphere

Fast but rude service. Food is okay but overrated. Pricing was fair enough. Overall experience was so so.
