Generally, when I write reviews, I aim to be as positive and constructive as possible. Having eaten here last night, I can’t mention any positives here. Whenever, I eat Indian food, I expect fragrant smells from the chicken tandoori and aromatic curries that are packed full of intense flavours that make you want to eat more and more. It really was disappointing and distasteful. To begin with, the chicken tandoori was bland. Honestly, I am not exaggerating here but it was plain and boring. They had the colouring right but I could not taste any tandoori flavours. I doubt at all if it was even seasoned. Chefs, please take this as constructive feedback and marinate your chicken overnight and taste your food before you serve it.Second dish was the lamb qorma. Pretty sure it’s spelt “korma”. Anyhow, the curry itself was watery and again plain. The lamb was chewy and grisly. For 5-6 pieces of chewy lamb pieces, it was not worth $13.50. Typically, Lamb Kormas should be thick, aromatic, fragrant, mild with a nice hint of heat and this was nothing but. I really want to highlight some positives here but I just can’t as it was so disappointing. Chefs, to achieve soft tender lamb, cook it for 2-3 hours. As an accompaniment, I bought a garlic-naan. It wasn’t bad, but then again, it wasn’t great. Again chefs, please please please season your food. Taste your food. The bread had a bit of a chew and could’ve been in the over just a couple more minutes.I’d like to give this place the benefit of the doubt but it’s just so difficult when the food was poor. Sorry.
