I was recently staying at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport for the Outsourced Clinical Trials conference, 5 7 February 2024; the hotel was the host for the event as it has been for years. The hotel is really well suited for conferences great meeting spaces, great conference rooms, good rooms, very good food at the hotel restaurant. FOUR COMPLAINTS: (1) When I checked in, the front desk clerk welcomed me, asked me for my Hyatt account info, said I was going to be upgraded to a King Suite and my room was a standard with two queens? Why lie to me? (2) The TV had a cracked screen it didn't impact the image but the TV screen had at least one large crack. (3) The light in the bathroom has a motion detector and if you like long hot showers, that darn bathroom light will go out several times, unless, you have a towel on the hanging knob and occasionally swing the towel in the room! Irritating!! (4) BIGGEST COMPLAINT The walk from the elevator to the room can be extremely long my room was towards the center of the meeting of two long hallways the hotel is essentially structured like a square with the middle of the entire hotel open. There are only two elevator corridors so on opposite sides of that square so depending on your room, you could, like me, get out of the elevator and need to walk passed approximately 40 rooms to get to your own room good if you are counting steps, bad if you want to have easy access to the elevator!! THE GOOD the hotel's bar and restaurant, in terms of food and service and drinks was exceptional for having such a large convention in house. Also, downtown Burlingame is very close and has wonderful restaurants!! Lastly, the SF Airport is so close like 5 7 mins away!!
