this small town of thirsk is quite quiet. but along the marketplace are numerous shops ' and even a few hotels. his eating time, what to eat. chinese! while this device is open only at selected times of the day. it must be popular...as not only that I wait outside in the rain...so has a dozen other people...so why no new reviews? there is a dining room with a series of tables for those who want to immerse. but I wanted to take with you to go that I could enjoy in my free time in my hotel room. in front of the TV. I was greeted by the nicest lady who took my order. 1. Hot and acidic suppe 2. pork 3. char sui foo yung, which also egg fried rice at 30p extra I might just 15 minutes or so...back in the room, opened my meal. first, no styro foam container this is a good thing.each dish was nice packed in foil containers holding not only with the packing bag it supports just let them watch. Chinese food in the united kingdom is not the Chinese food they can experience in America. or even china, but it was more than acceptable and was very pleasant. first, the hot and sour soup appeared to me as a tomato base when I experienced before. similar to a bisque consistency. wow, what a wonder taste, while I like the spicy one I like, there was also a lighted sweet one. I really liked it. in the connection was the pork suey. absolutely perfect, with a good mix of meat, seasoning, swashing, carrots, etc. also tonight the char sui foo yung was included. I thought I knew what this court was, but it was a lot different from home. first it is remarkable that this is not a fat fried egg foo young pfanncake as they would find in America. in fact this is not fried at all, and it is not broken into the heavy. the make-up of the plate is egg, pigs and heaps. prohaps another ingredient or two. that was a surprise, but what a good delicious surprise. in contrast to the reviews of others. I had recognized great service, uplifting and courtesy. my food was perfect. hot, delicious. very pleasant. and the cost. are acceptable. it should be pointed out that this business was founded in 1965. this is a local family business, not a commercial company from london. these are their friends and neighbors, they show their support, they earn their business. when I travel back to this direction. Yes, I will stop, say hi and experience another wonderful meal.

We had a Birthday dinner to organise locally where all four of us love Chinese food, being Cantonese or Mandarin, we’re not fussy. The only Chinese “restaurant” in Thirsk is the Hung Moey. So following extensive research (Reading Tripadvisor reviews) we decided with so many favourable positive reviews we would book. Have to say not disappointed. Mixed Appetisers to start, Peking Aromatic Duck second course followed by Charsu Fried rice and Chicken fried rice, Crispy Beef, Szechuan Chicken and Singapore Style Chow Mein. Plenty to go at. All courses were enjoyed although we found the Singapore Chow Mein not exactly to our taste or what we have become accustomed. The service was top notch and flowed flawlessly. The staff were friendly, efficient and lots of fun. Now we’ve been we will be back in the very near future. Well Done Hung Moey.

Tucked in the corner of the market square. This great little Chinese was recommended by our B B host. Small restaurant takeaway. The accommodated us a walk in on Sunday night. I had Chicken chowmein and my husband had the mixed vegetables in black bean sauce. Both were delicious. Great service with a smile.

best Chinese in thirsk without doubt. eating is fresh, tasty consistent. have been regular for years and will continue to come for many more. I can say honestly, I have never eaten a bad food here, neither in the restaurant nor in the take.
