"Oh yes, this is great ???? !!! We got all the services we were waiting for, meals were good, wines were even better. Crew is local, so I had to smile at the archetypical way they behaved... And of course location is high class!"

Visited chateau Hochberg for dinner for a change since we were in Villa Lalique for nights. We were looking for a casual reataurant with good food and this was the answer. The room was with Lalique chandelier and Lalique wine glasses as well. Lovely...chtaeau setting and food was well prepared. We had meat dishes and they were well served and full of flavor. Atmosphere is easy and casual and all in all its very relaxing. Service was good although at the end there was a mistake with our bill. But it was easily corrected so no problem. That was a good dinner and its good alternative change when staying in villa Lalique, afteralll one cant have a michelin star dinner every night.

I see this restaurant entry is also being used to review the hotel functions. I stayed in a room here, but took advantage of the free shuttle service to dine at nearby Vlila Lalique. The room had a comfortable bed and peaceful views of lawns and forest. Good breakfast with exquisite pastries and a generous pitcher of coffee. Nice touches of Lalique decor. The room was chilly at night (the climate controls seemed disconnected), but I didn't bother to ask anyone to fix it as I was plenty warm in bed.

We thought we had made a reservation at René Lalique star restaurant, but they are closed Saturday afternoon. But what a nice alternative! Very friendly reception, they checked on our reservation, and said we would not regret our lunch with them... We did not!!...Nice starter with crab, delicious suggestion du jour: raw scallop still connected to the shell, oyster, more scallop, ravioli and nice vegetables. Delicious. And very pleasant deserts as well. A dry Riesling d' Alsace to go with this.

You can only go wrong here when you prefer an atmosphere with Alsatian deco and a pint of beer. Otherwise absolutely nothing is wrong or of bad quality. Service perfect according to etiquette. All 4 of us took the Menu Kochberg (2 main courses) with matching wine with every course. Wine perfectly chosen. 3 of us asked to have a cheese platter with a red port before dessert. No problem. Delicious cheese selection with a beautiful 20 year old port. No errors. We will absolutely come back here.
