As a frequent traveller to Sri Lanka, I know good Sri Lankan food when I taste it. I was lucky to stumble upon Ceylon Imbiss the other day coming out of the Unionstrasse U-Bahn stop, and I can say that it has a wonderful menu...and low prices. It specializes in Kottu Rotti which is a dish of chopped up noodles, vegetables, and meat (optional). But it also offers numerous other dishes from Sri Lanka and India. Everything that my family and I have eaten there has been delicious. Much of its business seems to be take-away orders, but there are several tables where one can eat comfortably. The prices are more than reasonable, much less than the typical Indian restuarant in Germany. And the food is as good or better!

We love the food here. It's original and not adapted to German taste. We've tried Chili Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Biryani. Chili Chicken is really hot, so avoid it if you're not used to that kind of heat. As an entrée we have tried...their Samosa. All of their food is very tasty. We went here about three times in the last two months. Try their masala chai too!
