This Restaurant is always exceptional. There is no other place like it in the world, and I do mean the world in my experience which is considerable. There is the museum, very fascinating. The food is a fixed menu usually 5-6 courses some of which are small but quite sufficient. Red wine made by the Maserof is usually included. Water beer white wine is extra. There is often entertainment in the form of a Flamenco band and dancers. Carolina the hostess and owner will likely sing for you and may expect a song in return. Do expect lunch to lats several hours. There is no running water toilets flush with a bucket, or electricity and phone signal is marginal. It is open lunchtimes only on Saturday and Sunday and reservation is essential. Around September there are grape treading evenings lit my candles. These are very good fun evenings. Ladies do not wear floaty dresses to the grape treading. Candles and floaty dresses do not mix! These evenings are usually sold out by July. It is not cheap or expensive but a totally unique experience. American friends have said that if they could bottle it and take it to USA including Carolina they would make a fortune! You will know why they say that once you have visited. Cash is vital, as card machines will not connect in the mountains. Enjoy.

We went for the first time taking two friends visiting from the UK with us. Not knowing what to expect we had a wonderful surprise. No electricity so candelabra on tables, comfy antique furniture, antique crockery and cutlery and the food was exceptional, 6 courses each one a delight, wonderful balance of ingredients. The wine from their own vineyard free with the meal, very palatable indeed. The entertainment was provided by a guitarist vocalist and of course the inimitable proprietor Carolina who put us all at our ease and made us Sing for our Supper. Long tables of diners from France, Germany, Russian and us four from Yorkshire each invited to belt out a national favourite. A standing ovation for our four man rendition of Ilkley Moor B 'aht 'At made the afternoon. An overall experience we will never forget. Will be back just need to increase the choir numbers.

OMG the food here is amazing. I think only open at weekends for lunch, the restaurant is in the old wine bodega, and you will get a guided tour of the museum thrown in. Food was really exceptional five courses including wine, and some lovely dishes including beautifully prepared salads, with fresh flowers. Can't wait to go back.

Loved it, it's like being invited to a fun party with strangers that soon become friends. Incredible experience. Glad we found the place. Plus the historical articles, amazing. John Michael Roch
