Beautiful guest house on the way to Riederstein! During the first visit, the operators or owners have shown themselves somewhat merciful, although the terrace was occupied only 1/4, but all received in time and the prices are appropriate for the location and effort. During the second visit (after a year) the operators or owners were much more relaxed and even ready to serve! In the then surprisingly impressive heavy rain a little more was brought together and the owner was with advice (for flat-wallers from NRW), the helpfulness was first class and again DANKE
Die Vanillesoße zu meinem Apfelstrudel war die schlimmste, die ich je gegessen habe. Manchmal frage ich mich, ob die Wirte oder wer auch immer das in der Küche zubereitet hat, glauben, dass Gäste keinen Geschmack haben und einfach alles in sich hineinstopfen. Das war KEINE Vanillesoße. Das war ein Eischaum, der nach angerührtem Dr. Oetker-Päckchen schmeckte. Kein bisschen Vanillegeschmack. Widerlich. Als ich dies dem Kellner mitteilte, meinte er nur, dass er nichts dafür könne, das habe man in der Küche zubereitet. Super Antwort!
We started our hike at Tegernsee railway station and it was about an hour and half before we went to this place, which is over 1000 meters above the lake. The food was good and the price was more reasonable than in the city of Munich. The view from the terrace was excellent. It was a treat for us after the steep ascent. After heating it was 30 minutes to the Riederstein. It would be a good place for the hikers to eat in the area.
It takes about an hour to go to this place from the outskirts of Rottach Egern, but it is certainly worth the view and the atmosphere. The food is simple but beautiful and the prices are less steep than the walk. If you have the energy, you can continue to the church on Riederstein, where the views are even better. However, it is still 30 minutes steep climbing and you will probably want further refreshments on the way back.
