Visited Bella Italia in Burton for the first time today, the place was very clean and we were greeted at the door who was very accommodating. We were a group of plus a year old across two seperate tables, the tables were clean and a high chair was given to my Neice. Tap water was given to both of our tables which was nice. Lots of choice the menu but a couple more Vegetarian options would be nice for the pizza even have a Calzone option too for vegetarians. We could only choose from Margarita and a Fungi Pizza. Everyone tray enjoyed their meals, the children's menu which my Neice had the portions were extremely generous, the pasta i think an adult would be happy with! courses for her for and that includes a refillable drink, very impressed! The dessert part of the meal and waiting for the bill did take a long time, one of the adults wanted to have a dessert but my Neice was given hers way before a menu got to us. Apart from that and the waiting time for the bill it was a nice experience and our server (servers as they changed shift half way through) was very nice!
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. My wife had the Ox Cheek Ragu and she enjoyed it. I, however, had the Duck Ragu and found it very bland and the portion size very small. I was disappointed overall.
We had a wonderful evening with Michael and Lucy our hosts. The food and drink were delicious and the service was first class. Thank you for making our evening
Service was poor, starter plates not cleared and glasses not cleared. Chilli oil on my dish was months out of date!!
