Beetlecat - Table reservation

I was excited to attend a birthday celebration here but unfortunately our experience was poor from the beginning. Having lived in Inman Park for 6 years and frequenting the restaurant I am sad this was the case . We were greeted by a young hostess who was rude and dismissive from the moment we checked in despite the fact that we made reservations in advance and called 24 hours ahead of time when members of our party dropped out. Our server was kind and well meaning but did not have a clear understanding of the cocktail or food menu and would often disappear for long periods of time. Our group made the best of the evening and enjoyed both the fry bread and coconut friend rice. While tasty, the cheeseburger came out soggy and the lobster roll was small and overdone for the steep price tag. Overall, these problems seem like a staffing and management issue and I hope leadership starts to take responsibility for allowing poor service at cost.

I’ve dined here on numerous occasions. However, last night was my best experience! Pascal was our server and he went above and beyond! I sure do appreciate good service and last night Pascal did not disappoint!!! The food was good as always, just wish two of my favorite dishes were still on the menu…spicy shrimp and noodles and the shrimp and rice bowl. Hint, hint

Our server Taylor provided friendly and attentive service. She even helped arrange some shade for the late afternoon sun on the upper patio. Oysters were superb as expected! Snapper crudo was very nice with the fresh strawberry flavor. Coconut rice keeps me coming back again and again!Food: 5/5
