The Potting Shed Tea Room

Upon arrival at what is a caravan sales business we did manage to find the Potting Shed hidden away at the rear, but some direction signs would be beneficial. Clean and well presented and with an activity play area for children first impressions are good. We opted for afternoon teas which seemed the best value, half a cream and jam scone, slice of cake, selected from a number of options and good ice cream. My only gripe is that does anyone want all that cake? Why not include a small sandwich which is the norm in afternoon tea, it really needed it. This small adjustment would have make a world of difference. Cakes were great as were the staff but for us we would have loved a sandwich and one piece of cake instead of 2.

Having visited the potting shed on many occasions and really enjoyed the food, my latest visit was very disappointing. The menu had changed and not for the better. Gone are the fabulous hand cut, double cooked chips. Over priced basic menu. A real disappointment.

A very pleasant bar with some great entertainment (A three piece band , keys, Double bass and a singer) It was rather quiet but there had been some inmportant football matches on earlier. We will be returning soon to explore the rest of the place.

Went for the first time this week and it's brill,food was good and the staff are very friendly.georgia made us feel at home.keep up the good work.

Great little place for Tea and Cake; reasonably priced with warm welcome and and very tasty cakes........
