Most people search for seafood naturally when they are at the beach, I like to find a good bowl of pasta after a long day on the beach and this led me to Etna Rosso. This tiny restaurant was tucked into a small shopping center off of a busy road in Lauderdale by the Sea. We were immediately greeted and brought to a cozy table in the dining room. We started our meal with a caprese salad for 2. The salad had beautiful crisp, lemony basil, paired with fresh, mozzarella, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It had a refreshing effect in the heat of the day. My husband had the chicken florentine and I ordered the spaghetti bolognese with a meatball. The menu boasted of fresh made pasta and they did not disappoint! The pasta was tender, perfectly al dente. The bolognese was thick, full of tender veal and pork, beautifully spiced. The chicken Florentine had tender chicken, spinach, more of the beautifully made pasta topped off with a cream sauce. We finished our meal with a flourless chocolate torte. The torte was thick, rich and moist. It was a perfect crescendo to a delicious meal!
