Tinta- Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach

Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort is a must when you visit Ft. Lauderdale!I’ve traveled the world and I have never met a more welcoming staff at a hotel. My great experience began the moment I walked in the door. Tashelle at the front desk was amazing! She went over and beyond to ensure that my colleagues and I were happy with our accommodations and amenities. My room location on the 7th floor in room 736 was ideal to create a peaceful sanctuary to view stunning sunrises from my balcony. We were in town to hold our national conference for our organization, and we could not have picked a better place. We were introduced to Carla Baker, Meetings and Events Manager, and I must say ever since we didn’t have to worry about anything during our conference. She went over and beyond, and her leadership shined during our multi-day conference. She provided an environment that relieved us of the anxiety that comes with running a conference. She made certain that everything was squared away. She was truly there every step of the way making sure that everything was perfect. She leads with distinction and a standard of perfection. We were grateful for everyone such as Vittoria, Robert, and Jackson who added to making my first experience in Ft. Lauderdale truly amazing! If you are looking to host a conference in Florida, I would look no further than the Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort. As long as Carla Baker is in leadership, I will be forever sold on this hotel. Her leadership set the tone and environment and truly created an unforgettable experience.

As a Titanium with with Marriott I have never experienced anything like this. I flew in on Friday with my son for what we thought would be a great weekend only to be informed AT CHECKIN that the pool would close every day during our stay at 2pm for a private festival. Unacceptable! I travel enough to know that properties email their booked guest all the time to give them a heads up on things that might impact their stay: construction, remodels, restaurant closures, etc. There was NO notice given which means that they only concern themselves with occupancy rates rather than the care and comfort of their guests. I was offered by a manager comped resort fees or they that could cancel my reservation for no penalty. Right.....I just flew into Fort Lauderdale for a trip with my son and I am really going to search for another option. I have never, EVER, in my travels, encountered anything like this. The worst part is....management and ownership are just shrugging it off. NEVER AGAIN HERE!

My car was broken into under the care of valet . Valet manager, David, was very unresponsive and evasive when it came to reimbursing me for the damages which only amounted to $200. After weeks of HOUNDING him, and being very persistent, I was finally reimbursed. This issue should have been handled IMMEDIATELY. Communication was lacking as it was made very clear that all parties involved did not want to take responsibility for what occurred on their property, under their care. Your car is not safe nor monitored while in valet which is a charge of $30+ per night. I will not be back ! Better service and communication is expected of a hotel of this caliber.I had also called SEVERAL times asking to speak directly to Luisa or Robert, (hotel management) and I never once received a call back.

Really great Westin property with clean rooms, great fitness center and worthwhile food/beverage options. Really main complaint here was $48 to valet park your car. I know this seems to be standard in the area, but if you are trying to attract locals who want a staycation, this is a huge deterrent. If you are driving you are better off going to Miami Beach where there are public parking lots and more options to walk to. If you are flying in, by all means!

My family I were extremely happy with our stay at the Westin. All staff were friendly service was top notch. It was nice to have our vehicle handled by valet so we didn't have to figure out parking. It was also nice that housekeeping came in everyday took care of picking up, stocking up the towels making the beds. Convenient to the beach, shops, restaurants much more all within walking distance. As a Marriott member I was very satisfied. Thank you!
