"I think I haven't eaten such bad Italian food in 20 years. We had two main dishes, both were swimming in fat (not olive oil) and were very salty."

Some of the best Italian that I ever had. I was introduced to the owner on a previous trip. We met by chance on the street in Hattingen. I was told that we would eat in his restaurant on my next trip. Well worth the wait.I'm a carpaccio nut, and theirs didn't disappoint. I got to watch them make it. Also had their excellent veal.I managed to communicate (barely) with the owner in my 10 word Italian vocabulary. Great host.I highly recommend this restaurant.
