Le Chalet D'clair

Sat having a pleasant coffee late morning with pleasant background music, only to be drowned by the racket made from the drums of a live band, why disturb everyone’s tranquility with a noise that is awful at best? The background music was fine. It spoilt the atmosphere of the restaurant, I had to put more sugar in my coffee to sweeten things up! Each band member looked like they were soap shy, unkempt and had been living wild for 5 years. This is a ski resort not swampy the new age travel camp fest!

In truth we were not looking for this particular eatery in the mountain but came across it at a desperate caffeine required moment: then we decided to have lunch there An excellent toasted open sandwich of goat cheese apricot honey and a great accompanying salad.Would definitely return.

Tasty food but I shouldn't have gone with the extra chips with my croque monsieur. My eyes were clearly bigger than my stomach. My wife had a delicious salmon and trout salad. It was her best lunch whilst we were there for the week.

Great food delivered quickly and with a smile too. Of particular note were the meat burgers, the veggie goats cheese salad and not to forget the fabulous hot chocolates!

Big queue but worth the wait. Really good food. Value for money……lovely staff. Will definitely be back
