Habibi - Reservar uma mesa

I really do not understand why some people gave such bad reviews about this place... I personally loved it! It is certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Basel, but people spend as much money in other places only because they are "fancy" and "in" even though the food is ****. I discovered Habibi through Velogourmet -yes, they also make home delivery!- and after that I decided to try it in person. The personnel was always super friendly with us. The food, just amazing. If you do not order the typical stuff that you would order in a european version of a Lebanese restaurant, then you will discover many wonderful things in the menu, with REAL oriental taste. Although it is actually very close to the train station, it is quite hidden and I believe they would have a huge success if they would move in a more central area of the city. In any case, I will definitely be back soon!

Bei unserem ersten Besuch im Habibi hatten wir keinen guten Eindruck von aussen: der Ort sieht nicht sehr einladend aus. Innen wartet ein schlichtes Interieur, freundliche Bedienung und vor allem: sehr feines Essen! Die Preise sind tief.Die Dessertkarte kommt etwas kurz daher, ansonsten besteht eine gute Auswahl an Fleisch- und Vegi-Gerichten.

Very authentic - their kibbe were delicious! I was there for a party organised by Arab friends of mine so they know where to eat! They had to cater to a large and noisy crowd and did an excellent job of ensuring that we had more than enough to eat and that the vegetarians were not forgotten. Choucran habibi!

The Habibi's location is not an obvious choice for a restaurant, but it is totally worth the visit. The service is authentic and friendly. A mixed platter of mezze offers 1001 taste experiences; special mention of the hummus and the falafel. The little dessert are perfect end to this lovely evening.

From the outside you don't give too much for this restaurant. When you enter you notice the interior is small but cosy and when you order you realise the food is great. Authentic Lebanese. Worth it.
