Chez Mon Cousin Alphonse

Having had a recent terrible dining experience in Avignon (our fault for not reading the TA reviews) we read the reviews for this restaurant before grabbing a table.Two minutes later we were seated, just in time as soon afterwards every table was occupied and this was just 12.15.What a success. Although it was very busy the service was very efficient and we soon had our orders taken. The plat de jour was lamb leg steak with jacket potatoes and it was beautiful, cooked perfectly and very tender and flavoursome. My wife opted for the lasagne and it was also excellent and had a lovely touch of garlic to it.This is indeed where the locals eat and as so many people have said in previous reviews it's easy to see why. An absolute little gem and very good value.

We visited this restaurant on the day the Tour de France came through. The restaurant was right on the route and was busy as expected. We got a table no problem, and the service and food were excellent. Our dishes were delicious and the portion sizes perfect for lunch - we had a brilliant time, couldn't fault it.

We stayed very close to Apt and decided to eat in town one evening. I must say that the city is almost deserted at night and only a few restaurants are tempting. So we opted for this one as they have a nice terrace. Food was ok, pizzas with too much cheese (and I love cheese) on it. Great staff though.

Great service. Absolutely awesome wood oven pizzas. Loved the half portion with a side salad. And the desserts...OMG! Out of this world delicious. Like and follow my posted pics of my meal on Instagram @firstclass_001Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat very well!

This a calm outdoor cafe in which to have dinner. Enjoyed the surroundings and calm atmosphere. It is a casual place in which to have a calm dinner. Not expensive and good good.
