Cafe Tea-room Le Rubis De La Tour Saint-jean

Stopped here for a late lunch on a tour of Switzerland with some local friends. Set outside where shade is provided (and much needed in 31 degree heat! , tables are clean and lots of them. Based on the street with a section of seating right by the lake and a dedicated bar for that area. Staff were friendly as well. We all had a burger and they were brilliant! Absolutely massive, two of our party opted for the XL and loved it, cooked perfectly. I had Le Kip-Kip which I would recommend, was so good. Excellent find and would definitely eat here again. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area, great lunch spot!

I am from USA. Waitress spoke no English so I ordered the burger of the day which was very good. Not too big. Fries were good too. Salads looked very good. Would probably have ordered if I knew how to interpret menu. Ordered a glass of wine but never was asked if wanted another. Had to ask for napkins silverware and ketchup. Food came out faster than I expected after reading reviews of slow service.

Good Belgian restaurant we arrived at around 20h and she toldbus they will close at 21h30. We decided to have dinner. Food was really good and the lady was very friendly.

I went there for a coffee it’s was ok not the best but not the worse ! The service was slow but the waitress was friendly nothing more to say à ok café restaurant.

Caffe La Carre is on the side of the lake. There is an outdoor bar right on the lake and then a larger 2 story per any restaurant opposite. Nice atmosphere.
