8 M Des Monts - Reservar uma mesa

We have a home in Morillon, just a short drive from Samoens. A few years ago, we were celebrating a special birthday and recommended le 8M des monts. I can honestly say that our experiences since have never failed to amaze. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, and what always impresses is the explanation they give of the courses available. They explain how the tastes will develop and what to expect or look out for. And they are spot on. All the food is locally sourced, and the menu is developed by the family based on their travels to India, Japan, and many other destinations. It is now a tradition to visit at least twice per year, something we all look forward to. I just wish we could visit more often!

Came for an early dinner with my wife and two young daughters. Staff could not have been friendlier. The food was excellent (including, somewhat unusually to the area, a delicious vegetarian option . Despite being a small menu it ranged from Asian fusion dishes to traditional French (I braved my first Andouillette! Great selection of drink too. All served by knowledgeable and passionate staff who were clearly proud of their food. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for some fine dining in the Giffre Valley.

We are in Samoens for our Skiing this year and picked this restaurant for our first night meal. What a beautiful evening we had. The food was perfect, amazing starters of Snails and cheese parcel, the main of Beef was cooked to perfection. We had no room for desserts! The staff are friendly and explain all the dishes in details, we were made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to eat there again next week! Well done, a superb meal.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Samoens. Wonderful service, the staff clearly care deeply about the food and want you to understand and enjoy it as much as possible, allowing us to try a couple of wines and talking through the menu and ingredients. The food was superb and the price was reasonable considering the quality and the excellent service.

Love this little restaurant. The clear enthusiasm for the food they produce is all pervasive and infectious. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and wine. Great vegetarian options and able to provide vegan for one of our party without batting an eye. All in all, consistently one of my most satisfying dining experiences anywhere in the world
