I booked two weeks ago over the telephone and made a reservation for a special anniversary. Two days prior to the date I received a reminder' email ? However on the night we arrived in a taxi ONLY TO FIND THE PLACE SHUT/IN DARKNESS. I...was embarrassed in front of my guests- annoyed that I had pre paid for a meal-and out of pocket having paid for a babysitter . spent next minutes frantically searching for a nearby restaurant to our liking/available at short notice in the rain at considerable expense in taxis. I tried calling for the next few days but never any answer! I feel like they knew they were closing down but took my booking/payment and SCAMMED me deliberately. They had my email and tel. no. so could have let me know- so we did not ruin what should have been a memorable occasion'. As it was such a small restaurant even if fully booked it would have only took a dozen or so messages to be sent out as manners' to cancel the bookings. The fact that they did not let their customers know on so many occasions speaks volumes- and makes me wonder about the food they would serve if that is how they treat people. I would like to find out who owns this in a bid to avoid ever booking anything with them in future!
Confusion over booking, told fully booked over phone but then was able to book online. Then got phone call to say, they're so busy they were only serving steaks and no other mains (how odd) only to arrive to a half empty restaurant. Waiter was...unfriendly and unapologetic about limitations on menu, including the wine menu. Only serving Isla negra which was bought in Tesco across the road but we were charged for. He eventually admitted place was in transition of owners and they weren't buying new stock in before change. We should have been prewarned or at least offered discount for hassle. Only two of the steaks were available. I chose ribeye. It was cooked to my order but was tasteless and chewy and served with a mundane Sunday dinner gravy (rather than red wine jus). Disappointing and I won't be back.

I rang to make a booking and was told they did not open Mondays but they would double check they came back to me and said from November they would be opening Mondays I was so pleased as I was traveling to Liverpool from Hull...for a couple of days shopping and site seeing they took my booking for November and being a special occasion I was so pleased it was my daughters birthday and would make this a lovely surprise we got a taxi from the Richmond Hotel to the Moo Restaurant which cost to find they were closed it cost us another to get back to our hotel and to have a meal in the hotel which cost us another I think the Restaurant could have been decent enough to let us know they were not opening by calling as I left my phone number I am horrified they can get away with this just be aware if you are thinking of booking this Restaurant as they are not reliable a very disappointed person
My twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into this Wetherspoon pub as we were in need of a bite to eat and some quality drinks. The Fall Well Pub is a big pub, long and narrow in parts ,typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping streets around the pub. We were here on a Thursday night, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a panini each and a gin tonic ,our gins arrived in no time at all and were so refreshing and after a short wait our panini's arrived steaming hot and were totally delicious, tasty, filling and great value for money. After we finished our meal and drinks we stayed for one more gin tonic before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Fall Well Pub is easy to locate just off Queens Square. Opening hours are,;Monday to Thursday, till Friday Saturday, till Midnight. Sunday, till A wonderful Wetherspoon pub, one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.
