Zur Glocke - Table reservation

Underwhelmed and under sauced is how we can sum up our dinner. After reading good reviews and then having to make reservations and come back another night, we had high hopes for a birthday dinner. The onion soup was delicious like others have written. Service was friendly but very forgetful. We ended up with one wrong dish and no sauce at all for our plates. Our server didn't check in once the whole meal so we couldn't even ask for any sauce. Ultimately, it was a very expensive piece of dry fried meat without much seasoning and some unseasoned fries on the side. We didn't even get to sit in the main room with the cool ambience but a little corner breakfast nook of the hotel. All in all it was fine but not at all what we had anticipated.

We had a fantastic waitress, Katarina who was very welcoming chatty and helpful. Soups were good. German dishes were traditional and fine but avoid the bread dumplings if I were you! Overall a good time made better by the waitress! The wine selection is good.

Delicious Dinner! We had their French onion soup to start followed by veal cordon bleu. For dessert, I had apple strudel while my husband had cheese cake. The waiter was superb and atmosphere was lively and everyone was enjoying their evening.

This place is busy so I recommend you book ahead. The decor is a o pretty and oozes with character. Very attentive and helpful staff. We had the venison stew and cordon blue both were outstanding!

Worst experience in Europe. The host was rude to us at the start and it kept on going throughout the dinner. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was subpar-it didn't have much taste.
