On recommendation we went to this traditional restaurant in Celle and it was the right recommendation. We were very excited about the super nice reception and friendly service, you felt right here at home. In the map we were able to read the story of he's house and then to make a selection between the delicious dishes. Our selection became a delight in the palate, so a tasty home cooking we haven't had for a long time. From the Schnitzel to the Roulade to the farmer's breakfast everything was very delicious and you can see everything freshly prepared here. The various dishes were also served at the same time, no one had to wait. There is a small but fine selection as a dessert and here we were very positively surprised. We can definitely recommend this restaurant to every visitor in Celle. Since there is a non-smoker area but also smoker area, you should probably book better for the weekend for the evening. We look forward to the next visit....
While a trip down memory lane me and family came to Celle and had a walk around and stumbled over this place for lunch and we are sooo glad we did! The beer was fantastic, but the food was by far the best German food we had all weekend!!! We had burgers, stuffed cabbage, stuffed carvings with cheese and ham, croquets, pork medals, everything! And it was all delicious and beautifully presented! The staff was also first class and even reads the menu in English, which was a nice touch! Would come back!
This was a warm and inviting restaurant. We enjoyed their dark beer on tap with our meal. The asparagus menu was out (the season for white asparagus) and one of us had white asparagus with a turkey cutlet (puten schnitzel). The other had a herring...plate. We both enjoyed our meals. The price was very reasonable for our dinners. The service was good. Remember that many German restaurants, including this one, require cash; they do not take credit cards.
