We went for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place felt homely and comfortable.Prepare for huge portions! We had the Salzburger schnitzel and ribs. Normally I find schnitzel quite dry but they fill it with a sauce with cheese, bacon and mushrooms which adds moisture and flavour. The meal also came with garlic potatoes which were boiled whole but packed with flavour. The ribs came out on a board with a baked potato, sweetcorn and a variety of sauces. We ended with pancakes and apple strudel. Food is decently priced for the size of the portions. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!
The food was amazing, we don't know what authentic Austrian dishes taste like but that didn't matter, it was cooked to our liking and we loved everything that we ordered - beef goulash, roast pork, mixed grill and hurtenscnhitzel (I believe so). Service was fantastic, the waiters were able to come to our attention immediately when we wanted to order and pay bills even when the dining area was filled with people. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here.
Went there with our friends from the US. This place is filled with locals and we were lucky to get a place in the smoking section as the restaurant was very busy. Great authentic food! Value for money! Very friendly and competent waiters!! We had 4 small kids with us. We felt welcome and valued! If I would not live in Vienna, I would go there regularly!
I have been eating here twice in a row,and both times I was satisfied with my dinner: friendly atmosphere, very quick service, good prices.The food was great, I would suggest over all the Lauchcremesuppe which was delicious. Portions are extremely generous, I never made it to order the dessert, if this can be a minus-side. Fully recommended.
